The 4 Senses That Put your Insomnia To Bed

Bedroom should be cozy and comfortable for your bed time. The 4 senses will enhance your sleeping mode if you dealing them well.

Our sense don’t stop working when go to sleep. Our bodies continue to be keenly aware of the light, the sound, the temperature, and the scent of our sleep environment. Consciously or subconsciously, each sense affects environment whether we feel serene or agitated or ultimately whether we sleep well or poorly.

Odors
Our sense of smell will exert an influence upon our sleep, usually on a subconscious level. Certainly, potent bad odors will disturb us on a conscious level. Foul odors need to be eliminated. The maintenance of a clean environment in the bedroom, free of dust and dirt, is clearly important. Others may be so strong, with pine and floral scents, that they can cause problem themselves. Nothings, in any case, substitute for simply keeping a clear, fresh room.

Lighting
Proper lighting in the bedroom can enhance feeling of tranquility, warmth and relaxation, contributing to the sense that our sleep environment is safe, cozy and conducive to sleep. Light both within our sleep environment and intruding from the outside will influence our sleep. Overhead lights are often harsh and oppressive. For this reason, you should keep them out of the bedroom. If you can’t replace your overhead light, use a low-watt, soft lightbulb.

Noise
Noise can keep us from falling asleep or wake us up in the middle of the night. In general, the bedroom is best located as far away as possible from the noise of the street and the center family activities. As mentioned above, locating the bedroom toward the back part of the house is preferable. If noise is a problem, changing the location of the bedroom is one of the solution. Some simple steps can help, earplugs can block out sound. These can be purchased in the most pharmacy, airport gift shop, and luggage shops.

Temperature
The temperature of the bedroom must be conductive to sleep. Generally, it should be slightly cooler than the rest of the house. This is because we become sleepy when our core body temperature drops. If the room is to warm, it becomes harder to maintain that sleepy feeling. Be careful not to make the bedroom too cool. If this happens, blood vessel constrict, triggering an increase in core body temperature as a protective device. This, in turn makes it more difficult to fall asleep.
